I use the ratings and number of votes to select recipes. Especially where I have a couple similar recipes, I select based on ingredientes, cook time, and ratings. Of course, 5 star with 12 votes isn’t the same as 4.6 star and 450 votes. I choose the good rating with more votes.

It would be nice if you could add built-in recipes when you can just input your ingredients and a recipe would pop-up.... I have no idea though how tough that would be, so its just an idea
